The spirit of the whole EP lies within Shutdown, it features Jannah Beths soulful, pitched down vocals, a foreboding cello, crackling piano, saxophones, live drums by David Jones and a deep story centred around the concept of resilience heard in the lyric 'I'm not ever going to Shutdown'.

It started with my friend Hylton and I around a piano, he started playing and I started free-styling. We captured this on recording and I was so drawn to the emotion of the song and immediately got to work on bringing in the other elements, lastly the live drums by David Jones which complemented my programmed drums. We recorded these in Melbourne and it was a very special session, engineered by Drew Bisset.
